The warm Yoshinosugi cedar and the inorganic, rugged iron are a cool and perfect match. The rugged and cold atmosphere of the iron enhances the warmth of the beautiful Yoshinosugi cedar with its fine-grained wood grain. The rustic and somehow relaxing atmosphere created by the Yoshinosugi cedar and iron will surely soothe your heart. The simple and unadorned design allows it to blend in with the atmosphere of any room.
We created this product with the hope that it will fit in with your life and that you can sit on it with your wife, children, or couples in a relaxed atmosphere. The height of the seat is about 38 cm, which is a little lower than the general height, so that petite women and children can sit on it without stress. The seat is slightly angled so that it feels as if it wraps around you when you sit on it. It also has an adjuster so you can sit stably without rattling.
Two neodymium magnetic hooks are attached to the back of the seat, which are very convenient for hooking small objects.
The seat is handmade of Yoshino cedar. The iron legs are handmade by Japanese craftsmen.
The Yoshino cedar used for the seat is approximately 70 to 100 years old, and in order to take advantage of the charm of Yoshino wood, it is finished with natural vegetable oil, approximately 2.5 cm thick and 13 cm x 95 cm x 2, so you can enjoy the change of coloring as it ages.
The color of the oil finish on the seat surface can be selected from natural or medium walnut, depending on the atmosphere of the room and your preference. Since it is made of natural solid wood, each piece has a rich expression of wood grain and is unique. The longer you use it, the more you will love and appreciate this one-of-a-kind product.

The iron used for the legs is SIZU:W870 D220 H350, made of 13 x 13 mm square pipe and finished with a matte finish.

About the products

The dimensions of the products are not as accurate as industrial products because they are all handmade by hand. Please note that there may be a slight deviation from the listed dimensions, but this will not cause any problems in use.

Solid wood will expand and contract depending on the individual pieces, and the color will change.
zAbout use
Natural wood and iron are sensitive to water, so please do not use them outdoors for long periods of time exposed to rain or night dew.
Avoid using the product in extremely dry or hot and humid environments for long periods of time. Continued exposure to dry conditions, such as direct exposure to the wind from an air conditioner, may cause warping or cracking. Also, high temperature and high humidity may cause mold.
Do not place hot items directly on the surface. Placing kettles or other hot items directly on the surface may cause burning or discoloration. Use a potholder or similar item to place the pot on top of the pot.
Do not leave water on the cup for a long period of time, as it may cause stains. Water droplets that run down the cup may cause ring stains, so please be careful.
Do not use alcohol for daily maintenance.　It may cause discoloration and deterioration.
Please do not expose it to hard objects, as they may scratch it.
Natural wood absorbs ultraviolet rays, so it will change color over time. Although it is good for the taste, please avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.
Please understand that the aging and deterioration of the wood is one of the characteristics of the material and its expression.
About maintenance
Please wipe with a dry cloth or a tightly wrung cloth to remove dust and dirt.
The seat surface is coated with oil. To protect the wood from drying and cracking, we recommend maintenance about twice a year (before the rainy season and before the dry winter). Remove dirt with a dry cloth, soak a small amount of oil in a rag and apply it to the entire surface, leave it for 20 minutes, and wipe off excess oil with a dry cloth. Do not use the product for half a day after maintenance. To make maintenance easier for our customers, we use an oil finish made by WATCO of England, which is widely available at home centers, etc. The same oil finish can be used for a consistent color.
